DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Davidson County Schools are on a 2-hour delay Monday after a storm on Friday left thousands without power.

Duke Energy said they have more than 10,000 customers without power on Sunday night.

Guilford County Schools and Burlington/Alamance County Schools have also cancelled classes. Asheboro City Schools are on a 2-hour delay.

Crews are working to restore power after a storm hit the area Friday, causing downed trees and power lines, strong winds and heavy power outages.
