HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police said they’ve responded to nearly 100 auto collisions from Friday to Saturday as a storm hit the area.

This includes 68 collisions involving property damages, 11 involving an injury, seven where it is not known if someone is injured and eight hit-and-runs involving property damage, according to High Point Police Captain Steven Myers.

Thousands are still without power after a storm hit the area Friday, causing downed trees and power lines and strong winds.
