HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. — A pilot and passenger were killed in a small private plane that crashed at Virginia International Raceway in Halifax County, WDBJ reports.
The crash happened Friday evening in the middle of the south course.
No spectators were hurt.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the track at Virginia International Raceway has been shut down. It has not been evacuated.
