GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – A homecoming queen at a Texas high school has given her crown to a friend who was pranked into thinking she had been nominated for it.

NBC 5 in Dallas reported that Lillian Skinner was thrilled to find out she had been nominated for homecoming queen at Grand Prairie High School — but it was all a cruel joke.

The crown was given to the teen in front of thousands of friends and family members on Friday night.

Principal Lorimer Arendse described it as the greatest moment he has ever experienced as a principal.
